The Leader in Me Curriculum Advisory Board is comprised of professors, educators, specialists, authors, and experts who help guide our efforts to create high quality curriculum for Leader in Me Schools.
Through his work with The Urban Assembly, he promotes the mission of improving public education through advancing students’ economic and social mobility. He is the author of The Educatorʼs Practical Guide to Emotional Intelligence, a Civil Affairs Officer in the Army Reserve and holds an M.Ed. in Educational Psychology from Fordham University.
She is the Executive Director of Winston-Salem TEACH and a Research Associate Professor in Education at both Wake Forest University and Winston-Salem State University. With a B.A. from Emory University, an M.Ed. from Wake Forest, and a Ph.D. from UNC-Chapel Hill, her research focuses on community-based teacher education and the social and moral development of young adults. Prior to her current role, she served as the Director of Research and Assessment for the Program for Leadership and Character at Wake Forest University. Dr. Allman serves as a Research Fellow at the Program for Leadership and Character and is a Part-time Assistant Professor in Psychology at Wake Forest University.
She is a faculty member in Educational Leadership at the University of Jordan. With over two decades of experience across K–12 education, higher education, and informal learning, her work focuses on leadership development and educational innovation in Arab and global contexts. She holds a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership from the University of Warwick. Her earlier roles include teacher, school principal, and strategic planning manager. She also served as Deputy Director for Learning and Outreach at Dadu – Children’s Museum of Qatar, where she led the development of educational frameworks, policies, and volunteer programs.
She holds a Master’s degree in Education, and a degree in Literature and Pedagogy, with a specialization in Teaching Manuals for students and Neuropsychopedagogy. As an education leader SOMOS of Brazil, she supervised and coordinated the editorial team for over 15 years, giving regular lectures and training sessions to schools around Brazil. She is the author of books published by Abril Educação and Somos Educação. She has done volunteer work in the United States as educational advisor and curriculum developer for children with autism and special needs.
With over two decades in education and publishing, she has led school management, curriculum development, and publishing operations. As Publishing Manager, she is committed to creating high-quality learning resources that inspire teachers and students. She previously served as Principal of MIDasia Foundation Academy, leading academic programs, teacher development, and student success. Beginning her career in teaching, she advanced into administrative and leadership roles in education. She holds an MEd and an MA in English Literature from the University of Karachi and is known for her strategic planning, relationship building, and passion for impactful educational content.
He is the former principal of New Trier High School in Winnetka, Illinois and Director of Teacher Leadership at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, both outside Chicago. In a career spanning more than 30 years, he has taught secondary and college students in rural, urban, and suburban settings and served as an administrator and leader in several highly recognized schools.
